A Subtle Smile Transformation Without Orthodontics

A patient in her mid-40s was unhappy with the appearance of her front teeth. She wanted a natural, understated improvement without orthodontics or an overly white result.

Key findings:

  • Old crown on UL1

  • Crack line on UR1

  • Missing UL2 with canine in its place

  • Mismatch in colour, shape, and symmetry

Treatment provided by Ignacio Farga Niñoles:

  • Feldspathic veneer on UR1 to mask the crack

  • Lithium disilicate crown on UL1 to replace the old crown

  • Composite bonding on UL3 to mimic a lateral incisor

  • Composite bonding on UL4 to mimic a canine

All work was carried out under rubber dam for adequate bonding.

Outcome:
At the one-year review, the restorations were healthy, stable, and blended seamlessly with the natural teeth - a balanced result without unnecessary intervention.
